Please help!!! My husband removed our Childsafe Software because our kids were having problems accessing even their E-Mail accounts. He was going to remove it and reinstall it with less restrictions. He never got around to reinstalling it, so I reinstalled it last night. I had no problems with the installation, and I gave the control account a new password. I turned off the computer and restarted it in order to complete the installation. At the welcome screen, it shows our 2 user accounts--CS Control Account and our Family Account. It will not accept my new password!!!!! I am now completely locked out of my operating system. I have tried everything, even the old passwords. There is absolutely nothing I can do!

First things first:
1) Uninstall the webroot sofware
2) restart your computer
3) depending on your OS, if win 7 , 8, 10
you have to system restore point from the day before you install webroot.
4) restore and restart, problem solve!

you can search for a password boot disk which will disable the administrator password.
There are dozens of these types of programs but one program I recommend is windows password reset 6.0

Download the iso file and burn it to a disk to create the boot disk,
that simple. Configure your pc or laptop to boot in the cd drive,
insert the CD and it would boot then just disable the password and
restart.
Took about 5 minutes for the whole process.

Then, if none of these address work and your problem still persists, try disabling or making an exception in your firewall. TO access your firewall, go to control panel, security, and then Windows Firewall. There, either disable it, or, go to the exceptions tab and make gmail an exception site.
