Installed Quickcam Deluxe and it shuts off my sound.

1st You download Webcam Driver.
Logitech QuickCam Deluxe for Notebooks webcam immediatelly shuts down my Compaq laptop as soon as it's plugged into the USB port.
After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

If your windows 7 system is set up as 32 bit instead of 64, that's why it doesn't work. according to the logitech website that camera will only work with windows 7 in 64 bit mode...otherwise it won't.

Go to your start button, click on run, typ in MSCONFIG and hit ok. A window will pop up. Click startup tab, find your web cam on it and make sure it is checked. Restart and that should fixya.

I have installed software, web Cam works fine.
Down loaded SKYPE ,but when speaking with another person ,I could see them and hear them OK, but they were unable to see me although sound communication was fine. Is this a web cam setting problem or Skype problem.

Check your camera in the QuickCam software. If your camera works properly in the QuickCam software, then this issue is specific to Yahoo Messenger.
Make sure you have the correct version of the Messenger installed for your OS. Also make sure that the camera driver is the correct driver for your OS.

If the issue persists, then I'm afraid you'll have to contact Yahoo Messenger support for a resolution.
