Acquiring signal hello i have a sirius stiletto 100 when i turn it on everything works fine but when i go to use the radio all it says is acquiring signal is there anyway to fix this problem thanks

Hard boot fixed it... (removed battery, put it back in... shoulda tried that a long time ago...)

This is an odd fix, but I read it yesterday after having the "Acquiring Signal" issue for a week. I put it in the freezer for 30 minutes, brought it back to my desk and now it works. I don't know why or how, but I am happy.

my sirius stiletto 100 power on/lock switch slides up and down freely. feels like something came apart inside the device. any solutions?

That's one of several problems my Stiletto 2 has. The only solution I've found is to "reboot" the unit. You'll have to remove the unit from the cradle, pop the back off, and remove the battery for a few seconds. Then put everything back together and power it up. It will take a minute or two, but once it reboots it should be fine.

You need the firmware upgrade from the Sirius website:

How to Get this Release
Updating over WiFi:
Subscribers may update Stiletto 2 over WiFi by following these steps:
1. Power cycle the Stiletto 2 by holding the power/lock switch down for 5 seconds
and releasing.
2. Turn on the Stiletto 2 and press the HOME button
3. Use the MEDIA DIAL to scroll to Internet Radio
4. Press the SELECT button to connect to Internet Radio
5. Tune to your favorite station and let it play for several hours.
6. Follow prompts on screen to complete the update, then power cycle your radio to
apply the updates.
7. Next go to Home

Device info, if the baseband version is
already 00.14.94 you are done. If not, continue to the next step.
8. Reconnect to Internet Radio and listen for at least 15 minutes.
9. Disconnect, and tune to Satellite Radio. Updating Sirius will be displayed for
approximately 5 minutes.
10. Once the message clears, your update should be complete. Go to the Device
Info screen to verify the update has been successful.
Updating using My Sirius Studio™:
Customers without WiFi access may update using My Sirius Studio™ running on a PC
with an active internet connection:
1. Launch My Sirius Studio™ on your computer. Be sure you are running the latest
version of My Sirius Studio, currently version 1.5.1.
2. Power cycle the Stiletto 2 by holding the power/lock switch down for 5 seconds
and releasing.
3. Turn on the Stiletto 2 and connect it to your computer using the USB cable
supplied with your device
4. In My Sirius Studio, click on the gear icon next to the device or go to File

and connect to Satellite Radio to refresh your channel list.

Usually this is a signal issue and it happens when recording indoors mostly, right? The signal dropps but only for a second or two so when you look at it its fine. you've probably notived it cutting in and out when "live" from time to time. Use your signal meter built in to the device and find the strongest signal location. If that doesnt work or its not the problem, update the software. If that doesnt work try running the recovery software but only as a last resort because you'll lose your recordings.

The SIRIUS Device Recovery program retrieves the latest version of software for your Stiletto from the Sirius website. NOTE: Performing device recovery WILL ERASE the entire contents on your Stiletto: all music, Sirius recordings, channel presets and any user preferences. Solution is downloading the sirius recovery software from sirius.com My radio would not connect to my computer because it would not fully turn on. disconnect the battery. Hold the DISPLAY and OPTIONS button on the radio face when reconnecting battery. Connect to PC and Sirius Recovery Program will pop up. Run program, takes approx 10 to 15 min and radio works good as new.
