NAD 5100 monitor wont eject

There is a small hole in the front of the CD player that you can insert a paperclip into. That should force an eject.

You may have defective detachable unit.

sorry unit is not servicable you can get a used one at many junkyards

I had same problem with a 2005 Envoy in Jan '09. I took it to the ex-GM dealer. He said he'd try. The unit would only play using radio.
Mechanic took unit out of dash, and top off of unit. Ejected CD bu moving the eject mechanism. Replaced top and unit.
Works and plays cds. Cost $25.00 And i tipped the mechanic $10.00 for his knowledge.

you might try and look inside the CD slot with a flashlight and if you can see a CD try to remove it with tweezers,you do have power to the player right? if no power it wont eject,

I've dealt with this type issue quite a bit.
Believe it or not the drawer belt needs to be changed.
If the drawer isnt drawn all the way into the unit...the disc motor wont spin and ....you get rejected

remove the device from your pc and rebooting it. sounds like a drives or new software problem try uninstalling all and reinstalling

Could be some dirt on laser lenses. Try to clean it.

When i 'help' the cd transport, cd play as expected. And i agree, it is a nice cd player, also i have heard lot of nad cds on quad 405, sounds realy good.
