I was playing 2010 MLB Baseball when the Play Station 3 shut down. The light was blinking a red light. When I pressed power it went to a solid red light, so I pressed power again and it went to a very fast sequence of green light, to blue, then yellow and back to a blinking red light. Disk will not eject, I unplugged all cords, plugged them back in tried the same routine. Would love the proper information on fixing my issue from you guys at Fixya. Is there a solution so I can continue to play my PS3?

This is a bad issue.. if its under warranty then call sony asap.
Otherwise it may be a bad hd.. take yours out and reformat it on your computer... stick it back in and if it works your set... otherwise its a bad mother board.. i have not been able to fix this problem on 4 of the ps3s I have.. UNLESS it was a hard drive issue. best of luck!

Probably and overheating problem. Here's what I suggest:
Try using some compressed
air and cleaning the vents out below. If that doesn't work then you'll
have to remove and replace the thermal compound on the GPU and CPU.
You might also consider a System Restore if you can do it before it shuts off.

hi..Seems like your Power Supply went dead or either a faulty button..
Since those are touch pads those sometimes wear out. Another issue
could be due to overheating..

Yes, Thats what we gamers refer to as YLOD. Yellow light of death. If its not under warranty Sony will charge you 150.00 to fix/replace it. They will send you a box in the mail and you have to send it in. turnovers usually 2-3 weeks. Good luck to you.
