Sansui RZ-2605 A/V Receiver no sound

• Check to see if the sound on the stereo receiver has been muted.

• If the stereo receiver has a headphone jack, make sure

no headphones are connected.

• Try a different audio setting on the stereo receiver.

• Check the speaker wires to make sure they are

connected securely to the stereo receiver.

• Try connecting different speakers to the stereo receiver

If these have already been done,

Symptoms still persist, service may be required.

hope these helps,

thanks for choosing Fixya for assistance.

Hi curtmalm

First, do a rest on the unit by disconnecting from the wall overnight. Then fire it up again to see if it recovers. Let me know here how you go.

SOURCE: I have a Aiwa Stereo Receiver Av-D58. The sound

If I remember this model correctly, there is only 1 direct input. The remainder of the inputs are bufferred through a switching IC. It is likely that this IC is defective. Are there any other symptoms at all?

Thanks,
Dan

Remove the fuse cover with a flat screwdriver, then pull the surrounding circular black plastic piec straight out and reorient it to show the desired voltage, then plug it in, insert the fuse and cap.

You could refer to the instructions presumably available for the unnamed sub. THAT would determine the methods it can use.
