My samsung tv la27t51b has no picture and only sound on dvd

try checking the tv/av tact switch,if it is grounded or normally close or has a resistance with pressing, replace it with a new tact switch..

If you are a qualified TV/Video technician, you would not need to ask for help.

So, take your TV to a trained/qualified/certified technician, for professional trouble-shooting and repair.

Can you be very specific about what outputs are connected to which inputs so that I can be of further assistance?

Check if it has a scrambled image on all sources ie - DVD- VCR - cable/satellite box. Since the PIP is normal it sounds like the signal source is bad.
Post back with more info about your set up (what's hooked to your TV) if you need more info

Try to push the cords faster in, that might be ther problem (the red yellow and white) you can try turning them or putting the converter itself faster in or change if you can. (from 1 slot to another)

Look on the subwoofer. Does it have an upmix switch? If not, you cannot upmix the stereo to all speakers. You can also check your TV menu options to see if it has the upmix feature (or similar).

Some program have copy protection or your installations cable and setup try to set lower resolutions and make sure you see the picture on TV before record

There is a problem with the AV2 input. Since this is a new set, return it for repair or exchange. DO NOT open it up as that would void the warranty.

nip to the website and ask them as you don't give much detail on connection side some use rca connection others use scart connection and others go through rf leads to tv. on samsung always try manufactures webpages before coming here some solutions we find are posted on the company who built the pruduct others are from experiance from having product itself. sorry for not helping on this one it may be the vcr out picture tuner has gone may be another factor.
