MC9190 wont connect to our wifi

We have MC9090's in our store. but our new 9190's wont. They all connect fine. We have An ESSID set up aswell. which i put that in then we have a wpa2 personal, i put that in as well. then we assign ip addresses the them so we set that up in our system first then put them in to the RF gun. we get the profile set up then I goto options and enable 802.11d and then change the band to 2.4 ghz. I pretty much copy the same settings on the old gun exept for the ip address. Then when it tries to connect it says connecting but then says unable to connect. I goto find wlan and then i see it from there. click on it and hit connect and still it doesnt work. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Can't connect wifi

do the following:

click on the mobile companion icon on the menu bar at the bottom. this is the radio icon.

click on options and from the drop down menu, select regulatory. uncheck the box 802.11d and select the country where you are.

save the options.

from the drop down menu again, select the last option called export and click on the export options button. save the default registry file and you are now sorted.

Cannot connect with the current connection settings. To change your connection settings tap settings.

I sometimes will wipe the device clean and install a new version of OS.. but you can call motorola directly and ask for a download link for the build number you want. 1.847.576.5000

https://portal.motorolasolutions.com/Support/US-EN/Mobile+Networks+RFID+and+BarCode+Scanners/Mobile+Computers/Handheld+Computers/MC9190_G_US-EN

this link should get you in the right spot.. but you want the Cleaner Device Software if you can find it..

load it to a micro/SD card, put it into the device. plug into power, hold 1 & 9 press power.. release all.. press power again and hold yellow laser trigger until it asks you to update loader.. this will reset your device.

we had to disable power save on ours cause the scanner sleeps and shuts off wifi, and took 1-2 minutes to reconnect to our wifi radios.. and the app would time out.. so I suggest doing the same.

MC9190 will not scan a certain barcode, but the MC9090 will, what could be the problem?

Hi,
Firstly you need to know exactly what 'symbology' or type of barcode you are trying to scan. E.G. 128CODE, ect.
Once you know this make sure 'DataWedge' is installed and go to the settings section of the software.ensure that the type of barcode you are printing is selected in the settings. After this is should work.
