Dishwasher doesn't start when any mode is selected. Just hums and heating element appears to be heating up even though the heated drying is turned off.
Prior to this the dishwasher filled with water than stopped operating.
Get this every few months - don't know the problem but we disconnect from unit and tilt the dishwasher and loads of stinky water spills out - from where I don't know. Then just **** all the water out of the drain bit with a chicken baster - primative but has worked every time so far. Keep trying to get water out until doesn't hum when switched on.
Hi
F2 is a drain error and dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due
to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that
the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is
present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and
drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump
completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller &
clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the
complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps...
Please post back for any further assistance.

Ditto. Same problem with our ASKO 3251 model. Also: the soap dispenser did not open after the last wash cycle, and the water not drain. I removed the drain filters to check for debris, and to make sure the impeller on the pump was rotating free. Still won't work. It just makes a low quiet hum.
??? ideas????
