Uploading pictures from my digital camera onto my computer

I have always been able to connect my camera's cable to my computer and upload all my pictures. However, recently, although I do exactly the same thing, the pictures onto my computer have not been transfering from my camera to my computer.

How can I do so now? And, what is wrong? Why have I been unable to do so recently? I have the exact same problem. My camera is a kodak easyshare cx7430. Ii just stopped though everything else works well. I have followed all Kodaks instructions but same problem. Help please lucyshines

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Your CCD unit in your camera needs to be replaced. Contact Kodak.com to see if camera is still covered under warranty.

SOURCE: trouble uploading "duplicate" pictures

I've just found a fix for this problem after fighting it myself for a week. Don't use the transfer window that Easyshare gives you when you connect your camera (or which is also available under the tools/cameras/viewers dropdown menu).

Cancel this window if it comes up. Then select "add pictures" from the file dropdown menu (as if you were going to add pictures from your hard-drive to the easyshare gallery). The camera will appear in the folder list. Open the m1063 folder, select the pictures you want (or select all) then click the "add pictures" button.

Buy an inexpensive card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

How do you upload pictures to a Mac Computer? I cant seem to find the cord for it, so it is very difficult. Please help!

a cable would be the easiest, as well as the most convenient, but i guess you could always take your SD card out, take it to the store, get your photos onto a disc from there, then back to your mac to upload..

My camera will not upload any pictures onto my computer. i have all of the correct software uploaded. it used to work correctly and now all of a sudden it will not upload anything.

Buy a card reader and stop using a USB cable. Card readers are much faster than USB downloads and work as a hard drive. Cameras do not need software to download onto a computer.

My camera wont upload videos, but it works fine with pictures.

Goto any radio shack and get a external memory card reader this will allow you to get your pictures if the camera or cable is defective.

Uploading pictures from my digital camera onto my computer

Hello and welcome to FixYa

Please go to a electronics store and buy a USB card reader. I bought one last week and it cost $0.5 so its cheap as dirt. Then simply remove the card from your camera , pop it into the reader and the pictures will appear on a drive like a flashdrive in your my computer folder.

This is a much better option than using the camera's cable as it is faster , safer , saves on your camera battery and you don't need to install any software or drivers.

I cannot speculate as to what is wrong with your camera but this solution should bypass the problem and enable you to copy your pics again.

Kind Regards
Andrea

Go to a computer store there they should have a cheap/affordable usb cable or better a memory card reader where you can put your memory card into, it will connect to your computer/laptop and from there you should be able to upload pictures. and no you do not need to install anything at all. =) [email protected]
