Disc unreadable My 360 console keeps telling me my NHL 09 game is unreadable and should be cleaned with a soft cloth, even though it is clean without a scratch on it my console still continues to ask me this. I have borrowed the same game from a mate and the console is telling me to clean the disc at the exact same point of the game as my one. All my other games are working fine without being asked to clean them and all my dvds are running ok without being asked to do this, I also have NO flashing lights of any kind on my console or control pad. I have e mail x box themselves and all they gave me were to hopeless links that didn't help one bit. Am I having problems with my console or is it just a part on both discs that is indeed unreadable?

i took my abox apart and cleaned the lens with a cotton bud with cd disc cleaner fluid

(just brush over it - no pressure)!

p.s look on you tube to see how to take your xbox apart, it can be abit tricky without getting MAD.

Hello there, if you have ever put anything inside your console besides an official game, this will cause some makes of optical drives that ship with the 360 act a little funny. I can only suggest putting in an xbox1 game (preferably one that works), letting it come to whatever resolution it will come to(the console) then trying the hockey game again, repeat this process with different types of disc to see if you can get the optical drive to get back into the mode for that particular game. A lot more is going on than that but that's the short of it.
