Problem baking cakes in convection oven

I have a daewoo microwave with convection. I tried baking the cakes but the cakes get overburned. Could you please advise how do we use the convection especially the pre heat procedure. In our oven it has COMBI button which has 3 option hi, medium and low. Next they have asked to increase the temperature which goes upto to maximum 20C which I beleive is 200 degrees. We used 100 gram flour , 2eggs and we made the approriate batter. But we followed the procedure which was given in the manual. I made it to COMBI Hi , temperature 13(which I assumed is 130 degrees) and time I chose 30 minutes. But by the time it was 15 minutes it had a burrning smell but I assumed the cake was getting the brown colour but to our surprise after 30 minutes it was completely burned. Would be greatful if you could advise how to use this microwave for baking cake especially the pre-heating which we could not make an sense out of it.

How to use convection oven

Use just like a regular oven. Convection just blows the hot air around, so cooking can be faster. Search on google the differences between convection and baking.

What it’s the difference between bake and convect bake....just for cake bake .this it’s the first time tha used Kichent aid ??

The main difference between a convection oven vs regular bake oven is how heat is circulated. A convection oven has a fan that continuously circulates air through the oven cavity. Because air is continuously circulated, convection ovens produce a much more consistent and even heat than regular bake ovens.

What is convection cookong

A convection microwave is a combination of a standard microwave oven and a convection oven. It allows food cooked in the convection microwave to be cooked quickly, yet come out browned or crisped as in a convection oven. However, most cakes cannot be baked in a microwave oven - only those without an open grain structure, such as brownies. There are microwaves which contain electric browning baking elements. A true convection microwave has a high velocity forced air fan to circulate the hot air uniformly.

You should be using convection mode first of all. It's not clear from your post if you are. Also looks like you're oven is baking at higher temperature than it says. Try 170 degrees for 13-14 mins instead.

I have an electrolux convection model. the manual does not have suffiencient information on how to bake a cake. could you please explain me the precedure interms of the power selection, time required,...

Firstly I would suggest contact Electrolux for more info.
But in general all cakes are baked and no microwave energies are used.
An oven timer is critical to avoid over-baking.
