Kenmore 25852 Top Load Washer dead

In the middle of a wash cycle our Kenmore 25852 Top Load Washer just stopped running. It is as if the circuit is dead. I've check it with a meter, it's OK. I tried the screw driver door switch trick. Nothing. Does this thing have a mains fuse?
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Thanks for your help. I tried by passing the switch just after posting my problem. Still nothing.

Check the lid switch again. There are two wires going to this switch, jump these two together, if it works replace the switch.

The washing machine will not spin

If it works other than the spin cycle you should probably check your lid switch. I believe that will run you maybe 30-40 bucks or so. Good luck.

My washing machine will work on the wash cycle but will not spin.

if no sound in spin cycle, lid switch. if motor is running but no spin, motor coupler is likely. or foreign object is physically holding tub ie nail on tub hole etc.

Kenmore washer stops

if washer resumes operation when left alone after 30-45 min suspect motor overheat ..also could be bad timer contacts or connection on motor end at plug
