You need to use an 'SD' reader to USB in order to update-or add information to the MAXX. Recommend getting iGO or AMIGO software that is updateable mapping and poi... Works great.

After resetting the unit 30-30 (Press the Reset button with the Power on for 30 seconds and keeping the button pressed Turn the Power OFF for 30 seconds) with the mapping SD card out of the system, it should then take the information from the SD card correctly. Recommend using updateable iGO or AMIGO program in the unit.. Works Great..

hi did you install the software straight to your route 66 maxi using route 66 sync software ? if you did try downloading it to your computer then transfer it on to the memory card using a card reader

Plenio Is Litttle Picky On What SD-Chip To Use, I Just Upgraded Mine To 2GB SD-Memory
Chip Purchased From Walmart, Mgr Name Is a PNY, Black and Gold Display Case, also
Say's OPTIMA SD Ultra High Speed, Mgr Bar Code# P-SD2GB-FS [On Back Of Display Case]

During My Upgrading to 2GB Chip, Using Plenio-OEM CD," Navigation Map Data Base" DVD-ROM
Version 4.0. Had same problem,
Using Plenio Folder on PC " C:/Plenio/V-Up Pro 3000/VUPro3000.exe, checked box, SYSTEM UPGRADE, Selected SD Memory Drive, [My PC Was F:/], then software should detect SD-Chip
and Display Free memory Size, If So, Then Select Next, Should Take Aprox 20 minutes to Complete
Installing Plenio Software From Your PC to SD Memory Chip.
I'am Sure That IS How It Went For You, Mine Did Not Work For Navigation Either, Everything Else Was OK.
Take Your 1GB Chip And Copy To Your Hard Drive, ie; C:/Plenio/OEM_Plenio_1GB_SD
[Good To Always Have A OEM Backup]

From Windows Explorer Locate This Folder Name On The 1GB SD Chip Directory: MobileNavigator.
In This Folder, Locate File: Device.cfg & MobileNavigator.exe & rdat [No File Extension Displayed]
1] Copy These File's To Same Folder On Your 2GB SD Chip.
Your System Now Has Knowen Operating System Installed and should work like before,
might want to recheck your personal setting's.

I also noted using Plenio Software, I could not Check-Box "OS Upgrade" I think this is why
It Did Not Work. Still have to ask Plenio-Tech About This.

I also Noted CD I have Installed Larger Map File Size Than The Preloaded 1GB-Chip Has On it.
located in the "Cities" Folder, file: iusa_110mb_en_standard_cg.cdt 114,232KB
CD Ver 4.01 Installed this File; iusa_180mb_en_cg.cdt 184,145KB
Also Came Up Somewhere With Plenio a: iusa_50mb_en_cg.cdt 48,258KB

Also Installed 103 MP3's and 20 .bmp Pics/Slideshow, had 480KB Free Memory Left

well that stinks I had a brite blank screen and I opened it up and fixxed it but not for everyone to fix I need the dvd or card do you have the dvd as you may need to install the system software on the cards also

I managed to fix my parents one by removing the memory card and blowing on the contacts then re-inserting the card I guess somehow the card must have dislodged and the map files could not be loaded this should work for you as the system needs the maps files in order to operate the navagation mode...
