I keep getting command error when I send a page to the Epson Stylus Pro 9600

I can't get my 9600 working...it keeps coming up with "command error" message no matter what interface I used. I tried USB with 3 different computers with windows XP, Vista and Window 7 and paraelle port with Windows XP. None of them works. I had the printer working before with XP and Vista but have not used for sometime.

Sometimes a disk can be corrupt straight from the manufacturer. I suggest going to epsons website and downloading the firmware from there. If this doesn't work contact the service department from epson for this may be a hardware issue. Hopefully your warranty is still good. Good Luck.

run windows 7 in virtual xp mode, the printer will function but you will not see the ink levels and I have not found a way to show ink levels. at least we don't have to get a new printer as jay seems to think is the best solution,,,I have yet to find a better printer than this one even with all the new technology. suggest that jay actually think about what he writes before putting it down. just saying a printer is old is definitely not helpful to anyone.

The driver for this printer comes with Windows 7. Use the "Add a Printer" wizard from Win 7 to install. After that, it should print fine.

Hi.. I have epson stylus prop 7890 and an error display "maintenance request code 4000 Refer to the manual"

The maintenance code 4000 for the Epson Stylus Pro 7890 indicates that the print head are starting to clog. You should power cycle the printer (turn off and then back on) to clear the error code. Then enter the maintenance menu and do a power cleaning. Make sure that paper is loaded. Then press Menu on the printer's control panel and press the down arrow until you reach the line "Maintenance". Press the right arrow to enter the sub-menu. Press the down arrow until you reach "Cleaning" and again press the right arrow. Press the down arrow to highlight "Power Cleaning" and press OK to start the cleaning routine. (You can do a nozzle check before and after to check how well the printer heads are working after the cleaning cycle.)

Could be you are using the wrong printer driver or damaged data was send to your printer.

Communication error for stylus photo 2200 printer

type services.msc in command prompt you will get new window ,find print spooler services kindly stop the service and start it and close the page and restart you system and disconnect the printer,when system restarts then connect the printer ,try print some doc . also see that drivers related to printer are installed in pc by checking in device manager ,you may also try unistalling the device and reinstalling it,you will not fail this time.

Page 327 on that manual will contain information on how to troubleshoot service errors. On page 115, it talks about adjusting parameters for better print quality.
