I own a Sony Handycam 8 CCD-TRV41 model, and have lost the owner's manual. The camera is probably fifteen years old, and I cannot find the owner's manual. I am not familiar with how to hook up the imput chords to view the image on my television set. Can someone help me? can I capture video to computer with a handycam video 8 CCD-TRV41?
The connector for video/audio is located under a cover next to the red Start/Stop button on top, near the lens. If you don't have the right cable, they are available at Best Buy for example. There are analog outputs only, if you want to capture on a computer you'll have to get a video capture device for the computer. I use Pinnacle. -Stan
The camera should have "a/v"out rca jacks.
yellow is video, other is audio, hook it to your tv or vcr.
YES,you can capture to your computer, but youll need a device with capturing/editing software.
dazzle,is an external adapter, and pinnicle used to sell a package, with an internal pci card, which is capable of importing "analog"(your old 8mm,or from vcr),OR digital(via firewire)if you decide to buy a newer camcorder.
BOTH products come with editing/dvd burning software(which you WILL need)and I can say from experience, pinnicle is easy to learn!!
