Whirlpool Duet Dryer WED9600 Beeping during drying

I have a Whirlpool Duet Steam Dryer and it beeps during drying. When I open the dryer door, the beeping stops, but the clothes is not dry. This is a brand new dryer....

Please perform the following

Check for proper air flow
Check the ignitor
Check gas jet
Test the gas valve coils
Check the flame sensor
Test the safety fuse
Test the thermostats
Test the centrifugal switch
Test the timer motor
Test the temperature selector switch

It is possible you have a broken drum belt. You may need to call a qualified service man as changing a belt can be tricky.

What does beeping of dryer mean during dry cycle?

Depending on the dryer, it could simply be the wrinkle guard setting. This is the case with my Kenmore (Whirlpool) dryer.

If you have already tried cleaning the vent then the problem is with the Thermostat. When the thermostat goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair.It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing, if thermostat reads continuity then please get back to me if you have any other questions.

sounds like the door switch might be an issue,, does teh tub light go on /off as you open the door??? if not try manually pushing the switch in a few times.
