My gas oven doesn't work but the stove part does. The product is only 2 years old. When I put the Bake or broil button on the oven doesn't heat up. I am sure the pilot light is out but I don't know how to...

To answer the question fully, I'm gonna need the model number. Pull out the bottom drawer, and the model should be located on the side of the frame or on the drawer itself. Might even be behing the oven at the top, should be a metal plate that flips up.

I just moved into an apartment that has an older Caloric Prestige oven and range and cannot find the Pilot light--Please help

Hi, The caloric ranges use diferent types of pilot igniters, to avoid any further delays, I suggest geting the model number off the stove usually located under the stove's top, you don't need any tools just lift the range top(like when you are going to clean it) the model number is located usually on a metal plate in between the burners, or if it's not there , it will be inside the oven around the door liner or the oven liner. When you do locate the model, just go to the repair clinic.com website and type in the model number, follow instruction after that. see the following figure it might help in locating the model number: small_13_4.jpg

Relighting Your Furnace's Pilot Light

furnace1.jpg - Turn off the gas at the main valve at your utility box - Wait five to ten minutes for gas fumes to waft away - Get a long match—yes, a fireplace match, not a standard match - Set the gas valve on your furnace to "pilot" - Press the red button as you hold the match to the pilot valve - Keep pressing the red button for 30-60 seconds so the pilot can heat the thermocouple. Release the button and see if the pilot remains lit - If pilot goes out, wait five to ten minutes and repeat the process - Once the pilot stays lit, turn the main gas valve back on - If the pilot light continues to go out, call a technician, who may need to adjust or replace your thermocouple or adjust your pilot

Burners on gas stove work but oven and broiler not working

Most ovens, unless they have an electric igniter (does it go tick tick tick when plugged in and turned on? If so, it has an electic ignition.) have a pilot light. In order to keep gas from flowing out, and to prevent a possible explosion when the pilot light has gotten put out, they have an electric thermocouple on them that shuts off the gas when it gets cold. Plug the cord back in, and relight your pilot light by holding the lighter (I recommend a fireplace match or bbq lighter, not a cigarette lighter to prevent singed knuckle hairs!) over the thermocouple for a couple of minutes.

Vulcan oven will not stay lit

I would take out the pilot and clean it up and see what happens, also look behind the unit and see if theres a gas regulator on the gas line,if so you will see a nut on it take it off with a pair of pliers and clean as well.that valve is actually the saftey valve, when the pilot lights the flame impinges on the thermocouple and that sends a millivolt back to that valve in order to open.if none of these resolve your problem i would replace the thermocouple first as this is a cheap part and easy to put on.if you need a part # i can give it to you.let me know.
