You need to check the connection of the lead that carries the audio from the DSS to the amp, move it to one of the other channels ie vcr and see if it can be heard when set to and switched to vcr. Then we know if we are dealing with the Amp or the source..

Go to tools, then options. Click on thr User Settings tab. Click on Playback control. You will now see auto backspace at the top right of that page.

Depends on your sources and connections. If you have Cable Box, DSS, FIOS, etc. Audio would be from Coaxial or Digital Optical from the respective source. You would need to check the Audio settings on the Cable Box, DSS, etc. If you are using Cable or off-air, direct from the TV, it would be connected from the analog audio (rca) or Digital Optical output from the TV and The Audio out setting on the TV should be set to Fixed. On the Sony Receiver, make sure all inputs in settings menu for audio are set to auto. DSS is a term for Direct Station Select.

In Panasonic, a DSS console is separate from the phone and some system functions can only be programmed on a DSS key. You can program some buttons to Directly Select Extensions, but they only select extensions and can't be used to replace DSS keys.

Yeah, I know it's confusing, but that's the nature of Panasonic. Other systems have DSS keys also and use that term.

In the setup menu, did you set up the input assignments for DSS to be the correct digital input or analog?

To fix the issue please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.

• Close all other windows before proceeding.
• Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
• When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

The easiest way to correct that is to uninstall and reinstall the DSS player software. Before you go so far though, open DSS Player and go to Tools then Options and make sure the Auto download option is checked. If the option is checked but not working just uninstall and reinstall to reset the drive associations.

you need to make sure that DHCP is enabled in the router settings and that your network cards TCP/IP is set to obtain an ip address automatically.

Also check that your computers workgroup is the same as your friends eg, Home or Workgroup.
