Ricoh Aficio 1018D turn off Z problem

Something is jammed somewhere, turning the power off is not the reason that the jam indicator won't go out...you're missing something. Check all areas of the copier -just because the "Z" is lit doesn't mean that the remaining jam isn't somewhere else

If a brother printer wont turn on its usally a problem of the main pcb! Due to power or lighting strikes the microdevices might be shortcuted. Its cheaper to buy a new printer than to replace the board!
