My phone developed a mic problem. during calls people cudnt hear me. pluggin in a motorolla headset which i cud use b4 the mic problem developed doesnt work also. some technician removed the mic from the board and bought some headsets and was able to make calls and people cud hear me using the headst's mic but the problem has resurfaced, people cant hear during calls. what should i do? is it a software problem with the phone?

maybe you had your phone wet on the bottom part where the headset is to be plugged in. bring it to the nearest repair shop for the just to clean the metal contacts then, your icon will be gone

best thing to connect a headset and take it out, that will trigger the function that it will come back to handset.

try to format your phone, and check if thhe problem persists.
FOR SOFT-RESET:
- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7780#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345
FOR HARD-RESET:
- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7370#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345
FOR FLASHING- TOTAL RESTORE: (Do this if your phone does not boot up)
1) Remove the battery, and then wait for about 20 min or so before putting it back
2) Press and hold these three keys together -Green dial key, Star key[*], Three key [3]
3) switch ON the phone.
4) Do not let go the three keys until you see the WELCOME screen displayed and just let it complete the boot process.

Dear user
Switchoff your Phone and Switch it ON.
Still same Try to Plugin your Headset and Remove it. Again you face same Go to settings> Restore Factory Settings>Enter Phone Code[Default is 12345 if not changed earlier-All 'phone data will be lost-Backup it to MMC before doing it]..
Hope your problem solved....
NOTE:Still same problem-Check your Connectors> Audio ways and IC.
