SOURCE: how to turn on wirelss on a dell inspirion

Ok now firstly you have to see whch inspiron laptop you are acctually using. The procedure is same in most of the cases and here it goes... If you are uing somewhat older inspiron 1525 then there is a wireless switch on left side.just slide it to activate it. On newer inspiron 1540 wireless switch is on keyboard itself...Check out the F2 key.Its the one for wireless now...In some cases you might have to push Fn along with F2.

Try memory modules individually. See if any change.
Also post whether the Lock LEDs are solid or flashing

How to update older ti-84 plus

The function keys originally have twp functions: One function accessed by pressing a function key directly, the other by first pressing the 2nd key then the function key.
With the newer operating systems, there is a third function associated with the function keys F1.F2,F3 and F4, but not F5 nor F6. This third function is revealed after you press the ALPHA key.

My screen lights are at half strength. The F4 and F5 buttons do not work

Maybe you have to press and hold the FN function key at the lower left side of the keyboard, then hit F4 or F5. Most times just pressing F4 or F5 will not work.

F keys do not work f3,f4,f5,f8,f9

You will need to replace the laptop keyboard, go to www.ebay.com Type: make and model of laptop, refine search to keyboard. It would not hurt to use an external keyboard to be sure.

Hi there,

Try doing it in the BIOS environment.

-To enter the BIOS environment Tap F2 while on the DELL splash screen after turning the computer on
-A BIOS update might work but do it with a DELL representative so that whatever may happen they would know immediately
-If the behavior is the same it might be a good idea to send the laptop to them because either the buttons are stuck or there's something wrong with the controller of the brightness and contrast

Hope this helps!

The screen on our Dell Inspiron 1545 is darker than normal. It looks like it does when it is running on just the battery. How do we lighten it back up?

Actually it's the F5 key which also has a symbol of the sun on it and arrow pointing upward. Press the blue Fn key located at the bottom row, 2nd from the left and the F5 key together to increase brightness or the F4 key to decrease the brightness (it has an arrow pointing downward). Easy, eh?

External monitor for amilo pro v2030

hi
when the external monitor is connected hold down the function key " f n " ( which is located 2nd on left of lowest row ) and then press either the F4 or F5 function keys on top line....the one that has a small icon like a rectangle or tv screen on it ....it has usually 3 toggle positions so if it dosent work first time then just press the same key again (still holding fn key) until it allows the monitor to get the signal.....if F4 dosent work then go thru the same sequence with F5 but depending on the laptop model it could be any one ...F3/F4/F5/F6 the usual suspects....
hope this helps
