WHAT IS THE P IN A CIRCLE FOR IN THE WRIST BP CUFF

P means pre hypertension
1 stage 1 hypertension
2 stage 2 hypertension

Generally the EE error code stands for the following:

EE is a measurement symbol for one or more of the following;

• Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Wrap the cuff properly so that it's positioned properly on the wrist. 1" above the heel of the hand.
• Talking or movement during measurement. Shaking of wrist with the cuff on. Measure again, keeping the wrist steady and at heart level during measurement.
• The value shown on the display is excessively Low or High. Wait 5 minutes and measure again.

If you have a windows based system it is by default in the bottom left of the screen with a windows logo on it.

Should consult manual but usually this symbol means either tire pressure or could be brake pad wear if it has a circle with another circle around it such as -- (O)
Sometimes this could also mean your ebrake is engaged. Even if it is not engaged the sensor could be bad.

Jean, I'll answer both your questions that you posted separately. The change in sound you hear is caused by the monitor noting a change in how it's reading you BP. The error message is probably directly related to the change in sound. Errors are caused by several things:

• The Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Cuff should be placed on the wrist, at least 1/2" above the heal of the hand.
  

• Talking or movement of your wrist or arm during measurement. Measure again. Keep wrist steady during measurement.
  

• Shaking of the wrist with Cuff on. Same as above.
  

• Air circuit abnormality. Turn unit OFF and then Back ON and measure again
  

• Inflation pressure exceeding 300mmHg. Switch the unit OFF and measure again.
  
• Error determining measurement data. Wait 1 minute and measure again.

The next time you go to your doctor, take the wrist cuff monitor with you. As they always do, the nurse or doctor will check you vital signs. After they do that and they've told you what your blood pressure and pulse readings are, correctly place the cuff monitor on your wrist and check you BP and Pulse with it. Compare the reading from the cuff monitor to what your doctor got. If it's within a few points, it's no big deal. If it's way off, than there's a problem with the cuff.

Remember, whenever using a cuff monitor, always keep your wrist at heart level for the most accurate reading. Once it's activated, remain completely still and don't move your wrist, until it has finished cycling.

That means that you are not placing the CUFF on correctly. Make sure that the cuff is turned so the finger print is on your interior arm jusy above the arm and below the shoulder, right to the crease... let me know if you need more help... Guy

I'm not really sure what error i had with this type of blood monitor but i found that the problem was with the two little knobs behind, that were stick out too much . If you put your finger behind the blood monitor , in the area that comes in contact with the wrist, you should feel two little knobs under the textile material. If they stick out too much try to gently push them in. Hope this is work....
