Where is the control panel in aspire 3100?

I want to uninstall a program.

    There is no Control Panel to select when I click Start, only run, search and Help & Support.

If its Vista you are using (which i expect it is going by the latop model) click on the start menu, the round icon at he bottom right of the screen, in the right hand side you see the control panel tab, click on that and it will take you through to the control panel.
To un-install a program its the programes and features icon

For windows Vista and 7:
Start> Control Panel >
Programs and features or uninstall a program> Uninstall the programs you want to uninstall

For XP:
Start > Control Panel Add or remove Programs> Uninstall the programs you want to uninstall

How do i wipe my acer aspire 5315 0f all the programs i do not need?
You can probably do it with the software you already have on your computer, but a really handy free application that does a wonderful job is CCleaner (yes, there are two C's!) You can download it from filehippo.com With that program, you can click on Tools, then choose the programs you want to uninstall. Once you're finished, you can run a clean and wiper with the CCleaner, as well. It works quite well and is fairly quick, too.

I have and Acer Aspire 3100 And im running a VISTA system, the usb ports have stopped recognizing everything, from web cams to ipods and flash drives. How do i fix this?
Go into the Control Panel, System, Device Manager.

Right-click the usb ports and choose uninstall.

Reboot the computer.

That should do it.

USB not working
If none of your USB ports work, there could be a problem with your USB controllers. Uninstall the USB controllers via Control Panel - System ... and reboot your laptop. They will reinstall upon bootup. Good luck.
