Display is blank after replacing broken oven bake element 6896VRV

I turned off breaker and replaced bake element on my magic chef 6898VRV. When I turned breaker back on the stove doesn't work (black display). It is getting power since the clock and oven light will come on when I turn on a surface burner knob but no burner or oven will heat up. If I turn off surface burner knob the display goes black again.

It always came on fine after other repairs and power interruptions.

Is there some safe mode or reset?

SOURCE: pilot lights

you need to plug the oven in; pull it out and you should locate the pwr cord or you may already have it plugged in and have a breaker turned off or a gfi tripped

My Chef Classic Wall mounted fan forced oven stopped working. Its grill section working. Fan and the light in the oven working well. Bot oven doesnot heat up. Please give a tip what is probably wrong?

The bake element has gone bad. They can visually look fine but still be bad. To check and replace that element you will unfortunately need to kill the power and remove it from the wall. Remove the back cover. Check for a low resistance (around 16 ohms) across the bake element. If the resistance is high the element is bad. Google the make and model for a replacement element.

No power to Magic Chef Electric oven

I'm not familiar with this oven, but it ought to have protection against this kind of exciting burn-out.
This could be a fuse: find it and replace it, or it could be a circuit breaker: look for a reset button.
As I said, I don't know this oven; this attempt to help is based on the general idea that it ought to have some built in protection.

Bottom heating element burned out. Can I get a new one and how do you replace it?

You will need the model number of the machine, Once you have the model number, you can call a parts store to get the part you need.

When you have the part. Very important! First Turn off the power to the machine at the breaker box or sometimes called fuse box.
There are usualy 2 screws holding the bake element in, Remove them and pull the element out untill you see the end of the element and wires attached to them. NOTE : Go slow. You will see the wires at the end of the element. Just take a look at the new one to see what it will look like. Next, remove the wires from the old bake element, they are either screwed on or cliped on with a spade terminal. Take the old bake element and new element and make sure they match. now put the wires on the new bake element and reinstall. Then you can turn the power back on and test.

I have a magic chef range/oven. For the last few months, it has taken longer and longer for the oven to heat up to temp. Now it won't get more than 90 degrees or so. What is the problem??

Turn off the power to the range. Remove the bake element from inside the oven. Be careful not to let the wires go back into the oven cavity. Take a volt/ohm meter set for ohms or continuity and test the bake element leads. If you get no reading replace the element. If you do get a reading, replace the temperature sensor in the oven.

Oven doesn't work after replacing the bottom (baking) element

Will the clock control accept the bake and temperature request?
If so,
You will need to remove the rear panel of the range and test the bake element leads for 220 volts when the oven control is set to bake and is turned on.
