Well basically i am trying to download a wow patch (world of warcraft) and it says tracker is not responding so it asks me to go on to the d-link to get some configurations allowed to do this
I'm using BitComet and for about a week everything was fine, my BT client connection was green, then it went to yellow and stayed blocked at yellow, so I removed BitComet and reinstalled it. Now it remains unknown. I've tried everything I can think of and still remains unknown, so now I can only upload and cannot download. Please can anyone help me. Thank you! My user name is mychel and you can also respond to my email address [email protected] ; my isp uses dynamic ip address. my router is dlink 624 airplus xtreme g. Again thank you for any help anyone can give me.
Re: i need to configure my d-link for wow downloader
If its not the Firewall ( briefly disable the firewall to find out) this maybe that you need to port forward the required ports for wow downloader.
If using a router; Enter the routers configuration pages and navigate to Port Forward and port forward these range of ports,3724 TCP and 6112 TCP. The 6881-6999 port range is mainly used
where multiple computers on a network may be trying to play WoW at the same time.

You need the latest WOW patch to get G15 LCD support.
The applet for WOW launches at the Login screen for WOW. Until
then it will not show up at all in the LCD control panel for the G15
The search you did for WOW is only for the profile which does not do
anything with the LCD. It only handles programming the G-Keys. When the
applet launches it should display "World of Warcraft" in the LCD.
Nothing about the profile launching. That's a different thing.
Even though the applet for WOW is running, it may be disabled in the
G15 software. To check this launch WOW and go to the login screen. Then
go to the G15 LCD Control panel and make sure the box next to the WOW
applet is checked.
Basically, for other software/games which don't have built-in support
for the G-15, you'll need to download a custom LCD applet in order to
display specific software/game info on your LCD when you launch that
software/game. You can find good applet at g15forums.com.
OK i play WoW and what your experiencing is the patching of the game and yes there are alot of patches. Keep on patching till your version is 3.1.2.9901
What firewall do you have?
They all have options to configure. You could allow the patch utility access.
Another way to do this is by downloading the patch manually from Blizzard's site. (I hope you don't need a link to find it)
I have yet to be on a computer that does not say i am behind a firewall when i run the wow installer. I never use it anymore, as it downloads reaally slow. If you go to worldofwarcraft.com, on the left side menu you will see technical support toward the bottom, click on that, then look for "trouble downloading patches" over on the right, not sure if thats exactly what its called, but close to it. when you go to that, you will see a link to wow patch mirrors (you may just be able to search the website for patch mirrors) once on that page, find the patch you need and download it, save it to your wow folder, when it is done you will need to double click it and it will install. Much faster this way!
Repair Utility We have a repair utility that can check your files and replace corrupted files as well. You can get the latest version available here. Note: The utility is currently only available for Windows systems. Note: With the release of 1.8.0 the repair utility (repair.exe) can now be found in the main World of Warcraft game directory on your hard drive
Try to move the World of Warcraft folder back to where it was originally installed and run the patch.
Or try this - 1. go to Macintosh HD => Users => Shared => Blizzard: delete the .plist file inside 2. launch the World of Warcraft game and let the patch go through again, download/patch
To configure D-Link DI-624 Wi-Fi access point to work with
BitTorrent you have several options. One of them is to use trigger
ports.
Steps to follow:
Open web control panel of D-Link DI-624 by connecting to http://192.168.0.1 (this is default direction, which can be changed by administrator).
Enter login and password for administrator. Default login for administrator is admin.
Go to Advanced, select Applications.
In Applications screen:
Check Enabled.
Fill BitTorrent in Name.
In Trigger Port put 6881 and 6999.
In Trigger Type select TCP.
In Public Port put 6881-6999.
In Public Type select TCP.
Press Apply.
The DI-624 will reboot.
Now you can use BitTorrent from any computer on both LAN and WLAN local networks in automatic way.
BitTornado Setup
If you use latest experimental BitTornado client you can give a good
use toUniversal Plug and Play (UPnP). You just need to enable UPnP on
D-Link DI-624 and BitTornado will work on any computer in your local
network without any requiered intervention from your part.
In BitTornado:
Run BitTornado
Click on Prefs
Locate UPnP Port Forwarding and select type1 (fast)
World of Warcraft communicates on port 3724 with the TCP protocol. The patching process requires port 3724, 6112, and 6881-6999. Once again to download the patches for World of Warcraft you should forward the following ports.
3724 TCP6112 TCP6881-6999 TCP
If you can not forward ranges of ports and are only planning on having one computer playing WoW, just forward ports 3724 TCP and 6112 TCP. The 6881-6999 port range is mainly used where multiple computers on a network may be trying to play WoW at the same time.
Ventrilo: From their web site: Click on the "Port number" input box and enter the servers port number. The program will automatically display the default port number of 3784 but you can change this to what ever the server needs it to be.
So forward 3784 or the port number you chose.
