One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. Difficult or impossible----Sony and Mitsubishi have less than 5 common codes but Philips who is Sylvania at last count had over 30 and some units with their name are made by other companies and will each have a different and non Philips codes----the comcast remote does not have that many codes for this purpose.

The code is 1944 on a universal remote, but you will only be able to access basic functions, not the setup functions....you will need to find the original remote on ebay or something to get full access to the TV functions
