Need instruction manual for this machine. Would love a free PDF file if you have it. I can't understand how it works without a bobbin. Any info would be great. I'm trying to thread it and can't figure out how to get the thread through the needle because the plastic protector around the needle is in the way. Not sure what to do. if the link doesn't work try this
Go to the singer website for a free pdf manual
Go to the home page
Go to customer service--click on it--it will show a small menu--click on instruction manual
In the box put the model number (example 6235) & click search

I am a veteran seamstress and I may be able to help you. it sounds as though you just have the wrong needle in the machine or the needle is in backwards.. Machine needles are different lengths according to what machine it is. The needle could also be dull on the point. Try this and see if it helps. Also your local sew shop can help you no charge if you just go in and talk with them. The techs enjoy helping for the most part I have discovered.

if you still haven't found one, reply to this thread. I have one as a PDF that I just bought for $5 that I'd be willing to share (this goes for anyone who finds this post, too)
