I just turned my Garmin nuvi 200 on for the first time, and it came up for what country, and picked the wrong country, I want The USA for my country, and wright now its showing some other language. I tried the reset button on the back, but when i turn it on again, It still comes back with the wrong countey. What can I do ????

The error message you are receiving about maps is actually a sign of a firmware corruption problem, which just happens from time to time with electronic devices. Updating the firmware of your nuvi will replace the corrupt firmware.

These are the steps to take to update your Nuvi 200:

Download and then run Garmin 200 WebUpdater to replace its firmware / system software. Occasionally a nuvi 200 will also need a Hard Reset (preceded by a favorites backup) to bring it back to 100% operation.

Hmmm did you put the 2010 map on it from garmin? I know when they first released this file there was a problem with it that did very strange things in parts of canada and the usa. I would recommend going to garmin's website and seeing if this is the problem. plug the device into your computer and see if it has a firmware upgrade it is ready for.

You will have to buy a version of European maps. After you download them into your Garmin it will work just like in the US.
