I am repairing a Jensen LXA300 300watt 2-channel bridgable amp. and need to known the details on a "transisitor"(I think). The device is located inside the amplifier on the outer sides of the amp. This device looks like a chip, but has a metal piece that goes over it(there is a duplicate device right next to it that is also covered by this "metal" piece). I need to known the specifications of it so i can get a replacement part. Also, this device is the small "transisitor", NOT the BIG one. P.S when everything is put together this device is fastened down to the metal side fins.
Those are the mosfets.. That is how the amplifier is powering the subwoofer.. It's usually best to buy and change all because they are fairly sensitive in nature.. If amp has been used lightly and If money is tight, you can maybe get by only changing the bad one.. I'm assuming that the amplifier was grounded directly on the power input.. If it's the mosfet first in line from the input power that is more than likely what happened..
If you remove the clamp, there will be a part number on it. Post the numbers on the transistor and we'll go from there.
