This issue is perplexing me. I currently have a Digital Video Multiplexer Recorder (Ethernet) set up with 16 cameras in my companies security setup. They all connect to the DVMre and the feeds can be viewed through Wavereader 4.2. It is an internal IP that i'm using to connect to the device. until recently the feeds came in just fine on wavereader. But all of a sudden yesterday strange things began to happen. For one, The connectivity is really bad when trying to use wavereader to connect up. I will get an error message that reads

Everything sounds ok. Try to add more port in your port forwarding. Actually, even if you don't forward port 80, by default its already open because that is for internet access. Research more port that your dvmre is using. You may want to isolate the problem by connecting your dvmre directly to the modem and check if it works there. If not, maybe your ISP is blocking some port the your dvmre is using.

"Unable to connect to the unit at this time..." But sometimes i will be able to connect to the IP (Which i can Ping no problem) but the problem is when it connects i will have zero feeds being displayed. and even when it is connected with no feeds the connection will drop at random with a message about lost communication, make sure unit is powered up. This is a really frazzling problem seeing as it was working one day and the next day it all stops working. I have found NO reference material online in regards to this problem. The DVMre has a 192.168 address. I can ping it but can't connect to it??????? where is the logic in that
have you chkd dns ? not a soloution just a chk point
an NSlookup of the IP comes back with "can't find Non existent Domain.
The Camera feeds are working, as i tested them with a tv monitor. the feed cables are all displaying on screen that way but for some reason having ethernet involved is producing weird connection instability. either i can't connect at all or i do and can't view any cameras
