Blu ray flashes up for 2secs then disappears via hdmi for some reason but only via start up can hear audio just no video signal blu ray works fine with other tv and hdmi port works with xbox to tv
Have you attempted swapping out the HDMI cable for a different one? I recently had a similar problem and I determined that the HDMI cable was faulty. Now everything works fine.

I had the exactr same problem with P#3 and the same model of TV, I turned of the 24 hz setting as you suggested and it si workign great! The only thing I am wondering is what ewxactly the 24 Hz setting is. The actual title is "BD 108P 24 HZ output. I didn't turn off 1080P did I? Don't think so as picture looks great. Even though I didn't ask the original question I REALLY appreciate the answer!

The HDMI input along with others is located on the a/v control panel of which would have to be replaced. I haven't seen an input jack yet with a part number attached for any model. I would suggest call a service center for a diagnosis.
SOURCE: "No signal" sign on TV screen using HDMI selector
it sounds like a refresh issue, double check you selector and make sure it fits the refresh of the tv. i had this once with a sharp where the tv was 120hz and the selector was 60 and it created a no signal and when it did come in it was jumpy. if you have a 120 tv then selector should be the same.
