Oknkyo SKW-791 has build in amplifier. So it can be connected through Line Out Connector of sansui amplifier. If speakers out is connected with subwoofer, the circuit board in subwoofer will be blown.
Hello, To test the subwoofer when the blue light is on if you apply your thumb to the end of the subwoofer cable (the end that you would plug into the receiver) there should be feedback from the sub. If there is no feedback then the sub is not working correctly. Thanks, FJD

Are you certain that the transformer is at fault?
These normally outlive most everything else-
It's possible that you have accidentally switched off the sub-woofer outputs on the receivers. Onkyo have a speaker set up test. You should run that and see if the speakers are on and that a signal is getting through to them.
