You can make sure that your RCA composite cables are plugged in well (red, yellow, white). Since you can't see the video, the problem is probably with the yellow cable. If that doesn't fix anything, make sure that it is on the right channel. It will probably be channel 3 or 4.
We had the same issue. Try clicking <play>1234<play> and it should unlockk the dvd in the machine. Seems to work on my daughters. It's a parental control of come sort. HTH.
These DVD players are garbage. I bought one for my daughter and we've had nothing but problems with it. We finally hooked up another DVD player for her because I got tired of trying to make the dumb thing work. I haven't heard of anyone that's been happy with one of these players. Disney should refund everyone who has bought one of these there money back!
Might be the type of movie - some of them are only able to play "G" ratings. Try this: click <play> 1234 <play> It will likely unlock the dvd that is in and will begin to play. You will have to do the 'code' each time, or there's an unlock program you can purchase.
This will make the player region free which may also reveal a menue that either gives you the oppertunity to clear the password or clears it automatically...
1. Turn on the Player (with no discs in) 2. Press the Open/Close button (leave it open, like if you were yet to insert a DVD) 3. Press the Display button (on the bottom of your remote control, close to the numbers 0-9) 4. Press the following sequence: 1,3,6,9. 5. Press the number of the Region you want (0 for Region free) 6. Turn off and on your player.
I really appreciate you taking the time to look into the situation.

Well, although that particular code didn't work, I was able to figure the right one..with the help of the numbers you gave me.
