I turned off my Acer computer the other night ....properly through Start shutdown because it looked as it there might be a storm. It shut down okay but when I tried to turn it back on last night the power button doesn't respond. It usually turns blue when power is on. I checked my surge protected power bar and turned it off and on, I plugged directly into wall outlet, I tried a different power cord...........nothing. What could be wrong please?

Have you by chance downloaded a new Service Pack for Windows?
Try booting into safe mode and doing a System Restore (if possible), if not try taking out your RAM Module(s) and re-seating them (it). If more than one try re-seating each one separately. One bad module could cause erratic behavior.
