I download movies from the internet and use my lap top's media player to watch the movies on my TV. By using a S-Video cord and surround sound speakers plugged into my lap top. Used to, when I plugged my video cord in it automatically formatted my lap top monitor to match my TV's resolution and showed my lap top monitor on my TV. Then I would open up my media player and put it in full screen mode and watch the movie through my TV. But for some reason it is no longer doing that...........

All you need to do is plug the video cord in and right click on an open space on your desktop. On the pop up menu select the Intel TV wizard. Then follow the on screen guide to use your TV as your second monitor.

Some times software get corrupted or damaged during the use. If it is the case with your cam, the computer will not recognize the device when it is connected. Try Reinstalling the software in to the lap top.
Make sure that the program used to monitor your wireless card doesn't have a virus, or with windows, either you have to let windows enable your wireless or you have to use the program.. if you have both trying that could be the problem.
Make sure the TV is configured properly first off, make sure it's one of the auxilaries that are selected. Now if you haven't already, you should usually press F-something to get your lappy on dual display mode (F8 usually). If that fails, you may have to ween through some of the display properties, which isn't a big deal, but would require more of a live chat session to go through, or more info on here and some patience :).
right click an open spot on your desktop go to properties, then click settings and click monitor #2 then at the bottom select enable desktop sharing and hit apply
