I have the exact problem. Used it last year, worked great. Set it up this year and worked for one day then quit. All is plugged in correctly, power supply is outputting 25V AC. The controller does not have an internal fuse. When the button on the controller is pressed, the light flashes red. I'm assuming this is an error (I don't have the instructions).

I tried all the suggestions listed to no avail. However, after an hour of trying I finally came up with a solution.1gal of gas, 1 match and walla light show, worked great for about a half. Sadly the fire-department and cops did not appreciate my light show. =(

2 reset buttons. One on the large tree if you have the 3 tree or just look at the back of the main control box, push that and take a toothpick and put it in hole above battery cover should hear slight click. That should reset whole system. Worked for me.

When you press the reset button on the controller box, then you need to press the small recessed button on the back of the remote control. You'll need a pen to get in there, or better yet a paper clip. That will reset the remote.

Thank you.......I was approaching major frustration! Oh and btw.....turn the remote off, reset and then ta-da!!

I am trying to repair mine. I have tried the reset process with no success. I will try the fuse next. But, if I have blown a fuse, would the red light still be blinking on the power box?

I tried all the suggestions, starting with tapping the prongs with a key, then resetting the remote and tree together, finally trying the fuse. I took the box off and didn't see what would have been a replaceable fuse so I made sure the wires had a snug fit. While the box was opened I reset the remote and tree again and alas my tree is on.... now all I need is to move it back outside to try it out after moving it! Good luck to all of you I know its frustrating!

If your unit has the problem of working for about a minute, here is how I fixed it.
Open the tree with all the wires. Follow the 24vac line to the power board. Between this input and the diodes (rectifier) you should find a thermistor (looks like capacitor and may be labeled as a fuse). This component is the problem for lots of people. It is designed to limit overcurrent, but I found it is stopping normal function. I fixed this in 2 steps. First, I installed an in line fuse holder on the 24vac line and used a 1 amp fuse. This substitutes for the thermistor protection. Then I replaced the thermistor with a 5 ohm 3 watt resistor. This part is necessary to provide the resistance and current limiting that had been with the thermistor. My unit is working fine now.

On the largest tree base electrical box there is a push button. Press and release that button. A red led will flash indicating the box is in sync mode. turn the remote on and on the back of your remort, there is a small hole with the words reset over the top of it. Using the small precision pointing tool, press the recessed button and release. The remote will sync to the base unit. Walla!! Merry Christmas to all!!!

We bought the Gemmy Christmas tree trio last year. Just set it up today and the light show effects will not reset. Can't find the instruction manual

Press reset on the top of the main unit under the middle tree. The light will blink. While it's blinking, use a pin to press in the reset button on the back of the remote. The blinking light should go out, and you should be good to go. FWIW - I just looked for almost an hour before I found this answer today on-line. It worked for us.

Gemmy light show lollipops not working right

The gemmy light shows are amazing when working correctly. BUT that may be for one season only. I bought the white trio set of Christmas trees after one season the trees turned brown, tried to get in touch gemmy. Two days later my reply was I improperly stored my trees. All the other set of trees I've seen turn brown after one season. As far as I know gemmy quit making the white trees. Long story short they did't warranty my trees, as for the lollipops 4 or 5 light systems aren't interchangeable, I tried to replace the led in my 5 light system with a led from a 4 light system the led worked but wouldn't sync. When trying to make repairs you must use parts from alike sets of the same year models, alike models from different years don't work. Also when changing led circuit boards solder the wires the way you take them off or you'll short the board out. If you have bad sets of lights you can make repairs if they are alike.
