I have a JVC flat screen tv that the picture is always dark on. I have tried all the menu settings including bright way up. Everything else works fine. Help ?

Sounds like you could have a burnt screen or something else the best way to be sure is to have it diagnosed by a I.T. pro or Tech.

Too dark

well...the contrast comes to mind first, and then the color temperature..it's all accessible from the menu, of course.

I'd start with contrast, and then look at the color temperature ratings..

My sony 42 inch seem to be dark always i have the bright at 85% and it still dark

It can be corrected by some adjustments at the video set up found at the settings menu. Just by pressing menu button on your remote commander, then go to settings then select video set up and press enter then select vivid or normal by pressing the enter button. this will automatically set your unit to vivid or normal mode.

The tv seems really dark.57in theatrewide hd toshiba

Go into the tv menu and select the Preferences menu and set your picutre preference from Theater to Normal. The TV is currently in Theater mode, wich is for viewing with no lights on in the room. Switching it to normal lightens the pictue a lot.

Dark pictures

Your aperature setting is too close. Go to menu and go to your aperature setting it allows how much light is let in open it up a setting at a time until you have enough light to get great photos.

Ultravision image dark

Good Day, tfarmer;

Since you have replaced the lamp, which is the normal cause for a dark picture. Have you checked your video settings?

The brightness level should be set at about 55 to 60%, the contrast should be set at about 90% and the video temp should be at normal or high.

If all these are set about this way, then I would think that the light engine might be going bad.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Really Dark Viewfinder

That would explain the darkness if the lens is stopped down. It would seem the aperture control is faulty on the camera body. Normally, the aperture remains open until you take the picture. It is only closed down while the shutter is open.

Dark pictures

Check whether the ISO rating set in the camera is correct. Also, if the images are grainy and dark, it may be an issue with the exposure.
