OK did you ever try to hack your system did you open the inside of it did you drop or smash it or leave it in extreme temps if not it might be the result of poor cable connection,first turn off your Xbox 360 and check out the cables that are connected to the system. Remove them and re-connect them firmly. Now switch on your Xbox 360 again. There is a good possibility that you will find the fuzzy purple screen gone. this sounds to me that water has leaked into the screen

you recalabrate the screen five times , then tap it gentally on your hand

The half picture is a verticale problem. This is difficult to repair. Send to a repair shop.

Is it a clean vertical line or a fuzzy vertical line? It could be as simple as a cleaning.
