There is no remote, the LG set top box model LST-6100P we have lost it's remote we need the IR codes so we can program them into a universal remote. You will need to get these IR codes first before you need to know what type the universal remote is; here is a link to the LST-6100P product manual http://au.lge.com/products/sidemenu/list...

ive found a lot of databases and codes ut i cannot find that specific remote with that number, are there any other number on the remote is it a pronto neo or ng?

  • Justin Washburn Dec 13, 2008

i will find the codes for your lg box, im determined.

  • Justin Washburn Dec 13, 2008

i need the number that begins with sru, sbc, srm or something along that lines

  • Justin Washburn Dec 13, 2008

In order to find the codes for this remote i need information on the remote you are using, inlcuding model number, manufacturer and so inorder to locate the users manual and any software ware or firmware. the codes this remote uses will be specific to this particular remote.

  • Justin Washburn Dec 15, 2008

I already found the lg website and the users manual for your setop box. Remotes have codes also, inputing the correct code will let them control any piece equipment but I have to know which universal remote you are using now, not the one you lost, you said you have a universal remote, that universal remote (if able to control a settop box from lg) will have a specific numerical code that has to be inputtes in the remote in order for it to control the box by lg.

Philips TSU2000

Hello there.

Please check this link http://www.remotecentral.com/pronto/pfaq.htm
for steps on troubleshooting the problem with the device.

Especially the section:
A6-03 What can I do if the remote will not power up and I hear 4 beeps?

This usually indicates that the CCF file is corrupt. To correct this you can try downloading your file again from ProntoEdit. Otherwise, you must re-flash the firmware using the TOOLS | UPDATE PRONTO menu option in ProntoEdit (or TOOLS | UPDATE RC5000 in RC5000 Setup) while the remote is connected to your PC. You may experience this problem without ever having connected the remote to your computer. The solution is still the same: you must update your remote via the PC software.

Hope this helps.

Will a universal remote control work on with ANY device? In particular I am interested in operating a Technomate TM 5400 Digital Satellite receiver...

Universal remotes are never guaranteed. They must send the proper signal to the device you are trying use. This is done by changing signals via codes that are preset. There are remotes such as the " Pronto " made by philips. An expensive universal remote however it can open your garage, turn on a fire place that and anything else that is connected in your house using IR to be remotely operated.
