We are trying to connect out PS3 to our wireless router, and cannot find the WEP key.

Some later model wireless routers have the Password(ie.Encryption key) and the SSID already configured in the wireless router andthis information is printed on a label on the bottom of the router.
These settings can be used to configure the wireless card and wireless adaptersin your computer/laptop.
If these settings do not suit you, then it can be changed to suit yourrequirements.

The strongest and latest security is WPA2, the weakest and oldest is WEP. To connect to your wireless router from the computer/laptop,configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wirelesssettings ie SSID, plus the WPA or WPA2 encryption key. WEP key is also known as your Wireless password. It is located in your Router Configuration settings. Access the default gateway of your Belkin Router and go to Wireless Settings. Look for WEP and it will provide you the WEP password to connect your PS3.

When you purchased the router, you should have run the "Wireless Networking Setup Wizard" to configure the router, to set an SSID, to set an encryption-level (use 'WPA' not 'WEP'), and to set a password (WPA-key or WEP-key or pass-phrase).

Use those values that you used when you configured your router to configure your PS3.

Connect your desktop computer to your Belkin router, and access the router's built-in web-server software. Then, run the "Wireless Network Setup Wizard", to configure the router's wireless networking capabilities. As part of that process, you will be required to _create_ a "WEP-key" value. Use that value when configuring the wireless capability of your PS3.

your wep key should be on the equiptment like the router on the bottom if not, make a new wep key if u have a pc go in to the settings of the router enable wireless and add ur own wep key or is the wep already on a pc and ur connecting to it from ur console then input manualy i dont know if wireless is anygood for a ps but try wired see if that is more helpfull

if you have router admin password, you just go to your router settings and reset, delete all WEP key setting
(i assume one that connect to your router is only the PS3)
The setting should be web-based.
connect a pc to your router using LAN/ethernet port.
Access the router (you should know the router
ip address) via IE ex: http://192.168.0.1/
Read your router manual for details.

you will need to obtain your wep key no matter what...you can get it from whoever your router company is (if it is a linksys then call the linksys support number and obtain the key) in most cases thought the wep key is located on the router itself near the bar code. It will be a long number, When you get it and enter it in to the network settings then it should pick up the signal

Just run an ethernet cable from the back of the PS3 to the back of the router

I HV COMCAST AND THE BELKIN ROUTER AND I WANTED TO NO HOW CAN I CONNECT MY PS3 TO THE ROUTER.
