How to replace a headphone jack on a toshiba satellite A10-S169?
sometimes the speaker sound goes off but if I tweak inside the headphone jack it comes back. Regular headphones go in very loose.

I think you are on the right track, if the headphone jack is worn and shorting out itll kill the speakers because it thinks headphones are plgged in, ebay would be a good start for parts, maybe even call toshiba and speak to their tech support.

I need to reboot windows xp on my toshiba satellite laptop

The Toshiba Satellite A10-S169 includes several utilities to improve the performance or security of the computer, and to reconfigure the system's settings. Toshiba Satellites running Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows XP come with the Toshiba HDD Recovery Utility, which allows you to create a recovery CD of your system and applications. The recovery CD will allow you to restore your system and its settings in case your hard drive fails.

Click "Start." Click "All Programs." Expand "Hard Disk Recovery Utilities." Click "Recovery Disc Creator." Select "CD" as the type. Check "Recovery and Applications." Insert a CD into the disc drive. Click "Burn." The Toshiba A10-S169 will begin writing the recovery content to the CD. Follow the on-screen prompts to burn your recovery files to disc. Hope this helps.

I have a toshiba m100 and i want to connect it to my tv i have a hdmi output on my tv i am getting a picture but no sound what do i do

You will have a connect a cable from your laptop headphone jack to your audio in on your TV. This is a common problem. They sell a cable that goes from headphone jack to RCA jack size. You could also just add powered external speakers to your laptop and get excellent sound that way. I have a $20 pair of external Labtec speakers and they sound great watching a movie on TV.

How do I replace the CMOS battery for Toshiba Satellite A10-S169. Thank you

The cmos battery in laptops is not easily replaced. The whole laptop must be taken apart to get at the cmos battery which is soldered to the motherboard. You should be able to find a new battery on ebay but then will require someone to take it all apart and resolder the new battery onto the motherboard

Make sure you have all from the Driver drop-down list.

Just as an aside, if you are using ADSL, why are you bridging through COM? Just curious.
