Kenmore Elite HE3 dryer stays cold

Number 34 is the sensor strips located on the rear bulkhead inside the dryer. Clean them thoroughly with Windex or 409. Dryer sheets build a wax buffer on them sensors that moisture cannot penetrate. If no wetness is detected the control shuts her down thinking them clothes is did. Either that or you forgot to reconnect the sensor wire when puttin her back together Kimosabe.

Try putting less of a load in dryer. The weight of the clothes riding against the door, may be the reason why it pops open.

find the metal sensors in the drum
scratchem up with sand paper

especially if you wash rugs, sneakers , or anything with acyrlic

Replace the coils ($30).

Make sure that your vent tube is not kinked or crushed behind the dryer and it all this is ok then you need to change your cycling thermostat. is it gas or electric

it sounds like a clog in vent.if yours vents up thru roof you may need to have a chimney sweep come out and sweep vent.check and make sure the vent hose is net kinked or full of lint.

repl/ thermal fuse if no heat if heating for a little while clean exhaust, and repl/ coils

My he3 dryer does not have a door lock. The door switch turns off the light and allows the dryer to start. Make sure this switch is not damaged. Unplug the dryer before removing the front cover.

If you have ever removed the lint filter area completely via the screws that hold the plastics in so you could clean it then remove it again and insure that you plugged in the two wires that go to the strip sensor.. (moisture sensor)
