I just moved into a house with a Gaggenau EB 846-6. Light and fan work. Heating element doesn't seem to work in top or bottom 'socket'. Also, neither heating indicator light illuminates

Seems to get slightly warm, but not hot. "Meat thermometer" attachment seems to work.

Since neither light is going on, then i believe that you either have a bad thermostat, or possibly that you only have half of the voltage going to it, and gaggenau doesn't have gas units so it doesn't have a glow bar like the previous guy said.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Accubake Super Capacity 465 gas range. Oven won't light

Some gas ranges may take 10 or so minutes to light.
Other than that you may have a defective glow bar ignitor.
If it glows and does not light the reistance in the ignitior has failed.

SOURCE: Neff U1721 bottom oven not heating fan & light are ok

Yes it will need a new element, if the fan runs and temperature light comes on then the element is gone.

Gaggenau EB 294 double oven. Upper oven thermometer maybe not working. It just keeps heating higher and higher.

It is a Gaggaenau, the most expensive in the world. You need a service call. They don't have thermostats, they have electronic sensors which process and the information is passed on to your element :>D.

I have a Gaggenau EB 294/295 doulble wall oven that is heating very slowly. It's generally used on the convection setting. I've read that this could be a faulty temp sensor? I wanted to rule out failed...

high-end appliances like Gaggenau need professional service. They are made complicated!

both ovens are fan assisted. The manual says the top oven is heated by the broil element ($168.00), but it lies as the fan also has an element around it (not available!). The bottom oven element is a secret, but my guess is that it is around the fan in the rear and the parts list confirms. Both can be checked with a test meter. The temperature sensor not quite so easy and is $131!.

Just moved in and can't figure out wall oven. it is a gaggenau EB 695-620. How can I get a manual. tried gaggenau website and can't dowonload anything. Help!

Might be possible to contact customer service or support through the website or email and request a link to download a manual or order one as a spare part.
If all else fails request a list of dealers or agents. The chances are high your oven was originally bought fairly locally. A dealer might photocopy a manual or order one for you.

Gaggenau oven BO 270 error code E005

We have a Gaggenau BO250/251. It gave error code E005, and after a lot of frustration, we opened the left hand light (NOT the light at the top of the owen) and fiddled a little with the bulb. And voila, the owen worked again.

Stupid design to disable the owen when the light does not work. Bravo, Gaggenau....

Large oven doesn't heat up. Heating element gone??

Hi, In a word yes. As for who you can contact, I'd suggest only an authorized b/s/h (bosch/thermador/gaggenau) service provider. I used to be one for over 10yrs. but now work exclusively for sears...I'm not sure if I made a good choice or not yet, lol ! I digress. It is quite possibly not even the element as the gaggenau have cut-outs (they are actual thermal fuses that cannot be reset, they must be replaced) built into the bake circuit that can open often times. This of course unless you're certain the bake element is defective. Check your local directory under appliance service or a vendor who sells that line may be well equiped to direct you for quality service in someone they trust and are proficient. Hope that helps, good luck. macmarkus :)
