My nokia 6500 classic has been stolen. How can I block the phone

Contact your cellular service provider and have them place a block on the ESN.

I think it is very hard nowadays to recover stolen or lost phones, but one thing you can do is block your phone so that the person who stole it cannot use the phone. All you have to do is call the phone provider. They will get some basic info and the IMEI number of your lost mobile set. They will register IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of your cell phone and will request all the mobile operators to block this IMEI on their networks.

IMEI is a number which is unique to every GSM mobile phone. It is usually found
printed on or underneath the phone's battery and warranty card. IMEI of any set
can also be found by dialing the sequence *#06# into the phone. The IMEI number
is used by the GSM network to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to
stop a stolen phone from accessing the network. For example, if a mobile phone is
stolen, the owner can call his/her network provider and instruct them to "block" the
phone using its IMEI number. This renders the phone useless, regardless of whether
the phone's SIM is changed.

Ring your service provider if it was locked to them, give them the IMEI and your details they will block your Nokia phone.

The person that stole your phone will find that your phone has been barred and basically as useful as a rock.

If they try to unlock the phone at mobile phone repair shops they will be refused as the IMEI will be registered globally as stolen.'

If your phone wasn't locked to your service provider, there isn't any way to block the phone now.

Please contact your orange customer care department over phone.Now you furnish your details properly he will verify it with the originals he is having in his data base and then will give the network unlock code.
Then use the sim you wish and enjoy talking.

Contact the phone company. They will tack it out for you. They are the only one who can get it back.

nokia 6500 slide can only be unlocked via a cable as they run on bbs software which is different to the 6500 classic software this will involve taking your handset to your local mobile phone shop at a cost of around £15

Hi there ring your network provider and tellem its been stolen they will block the sim and rring your phones maker and tell them to block the phone with the imei number that can be retrived by pressing *#06# and then the stealer with the phone will be useless :) hope this helps and please rate me if you have the time
