No told ,model
no photo of bad screens, gee we need to see them.
why no ask them what power IC means.

to reset any laptop old we:

  1. remove huge battery first. run on AC power pack only.
  2. hold power button for 10 full seconds. and release, power i reset.
  3. bad coin cell is next to replace. then reset bios inside BIOS. page 1.
  4. set time and date and boot order to hdd0.
  5. save
  6. exit bios
  7. cold boot it #2 above

Try powering from the mains and see if your battery is being fully charged.

SOURCE: windows is activated but will not log me on

There seems to be nothing else we can do other than reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling your operating system since you cannot go to safe mode and do system restore. The problem is with the OS so it needs to be reinstalled. Hope this helps. Thank you.

SOURCE: Hello, I have NEC MultiSync LCD195VXM+

1. From what you have described this sound as though the video card ( internal) is defective. Most mother boards have video cards on the mother board.
2. use a know good video card and install it to the mother board > there should be ample slots to install it.
3. The OS (operating system should see the installed video card immediately and install drivers if you see a screen then this has isolated the problem to video.
If you don't see any video then you have a defective mother board.

Toshiba laptop serial NO 76110651Q

Check the bottom of the laptop for a Certificate of Authentication (COA) sticker which will tell what version of Windows XP it had and the Key Code (a series of 5 letters and numbers). If you have a copy of windows xp that is the exact same version as on the COA then you can install it and put in your keycode when requested and activate it. If your COA says Windows XP Professional you cannot use a Windows XP Home operating disk to reinstall.

I turn on the laptop the dell logo boots then the screen goes blank a padlock is illuminated on the panel . What is going on?

You have 3 padlock LED's. They are as follows.
icon_9.jpg Turns on when the numeric keypad is enabled. icon_a.jpg Turns on when the uppercase letter function is enabled. icon_scroll.jpg Turns on when the scroll lock function is enabled. If you don't get a display when Windows tries to load then you probably have a video driver issue. Try to load Windows in safe mode by powering on the laptop and tapping the key. If it works then your video driver might be corrupted or your video circuit has a problem.

Scratching and static noise when turned on

Verry common problem with these systems. It is one of the two audio output IC's for the sub. It is best tho to replace them both. Not easy to get to tho. But not
costly for replacements. On the power board there is 4 IC's on one side and 3 1small and 2the same as the other's. Those 2,are the output IC's for the Sub.
The part number for then is TDA7293. The cost about
$6-10 each. Can find on ebay.REPLACE BOTH!!! They sell a kit of 6 for around $25.Sometimes I replace all 6.

My panasonic turns on but shows the letter f61 what does that mean?

F61 just means 'power fault'
Generally a fault with either audio power amp ic (IC 501) or power supply ic (IC 502).

May also be the fan if it has one make sure it is clean and can spin freely.
Hope this helps. Thanks
