Seems to be working fine but intermittent knocking noise while cooking. Noticed about 2 weeks ago that top got very hot while cooking a chicken pot pie for 10 minutes. Top usually doesn't get hot. Thought it might indicate problem with fan not venting properly. Noise seems to be mostly at start of cook time.
Open it and check screws. anything that vibrates will sooner or later loosen internal screws. maybe put a locking ring on it if u find it

The 22 seconds is the giveaway.
In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.
Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.
I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer.

The
first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a
minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.
Let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.
If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.
If
it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a
problem, usually a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.
If you do indeed have a problem, Since
it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty.
I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

That's good that it worked for you! Ya it's kind of hard to find out where it's coming from when you don't want to get close to it. As long as it's working and the fan is running to keep it cool, you'll just have to se what happens!
