It is not due to bad connection it is due to bad software driver version of graphics driver. I recommend you to install correct version of graphics driver like Intel's driver.

I need to know if the mother board from the p205d-s7436 is compadable for the s7438 model

Satellite P205d-s7436 motherboard,

http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/Toshiba,Laptop,Part,K000056150.aspx

Satellite P205d-s7438 motherboard,

http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/Toshiba,Laptop,Part,K000056150.aspx

Same part number used for both laptop models.

Satellite P205d-s7436 specifications,

http://www.cnet.com/laptops/toshiba-satellite-p205d-s7436/4505-3121_7-33428376.html

Satellite P205d-s7438 specifications,

http://www.cnet.com/laptops/toshiba-satellite-p205d-s7438/4505-3121_7-32658635.html

Just by comparison of the specs the data suggests only a Processor change, Ram Memory amount, and Harddrive size.

Uses a Socket S1 processor socket on both model's motherboards,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_mobile_microprocessors#.22Tyler.22_.2865_nm.29

Both models use an AMD 690V graphics chipset, (ATI Mobility Radeon X1200)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD_690_chipset_series

The answer is Yes.

Toshiba P205D-S8802 will not start up. Pressed power button, and hear the droves starting up and then stops. The screen remains black.

Hopefully you have more than 1 stick of RAM. I would remove 1 and try it again, if that doesn't work, try the other one. When it's powering up and then powering off quickly, that could also be a heat issue. Make sure all of the fans are powering on. Also you can try removing the battery, and trying with just AC power connected. Some laptops won't let you do this, but some will, and if the battery is causing the issue, it should work.
User guide can be found here, which will walk you through getting to the memory bay. http://www.retrevo.com/support/Toshiba-P205D-S8802-Laptops-manual/id/12395ag000/t/2/

I have A Toshiba Tecra 10 Laptop that I have just tried to connect to a Toshiba 32" HD LCD TV. There is no RED color on the TV when the laptop is connected. What should be red is black. Everything else...

Sounds like a bad connection with the video cable. If not then with the mating connector on the laptop or the TV. Try to narrow it down to one of the three.

Display Problem Black turns Red

sounds like you have a loose connection ....either into the screen or into the motherboard....the connection between board and screen runs through the hinge brackets and often comes loose after machine has been opened and closed a lot.....need to be comfortable opening up laptops to check the cables as it can be tricky to get to the back of the screen where the end of the ribbon cable is..
