The harvest mode is started when the ice cube reaches around 14 degrees so lower the temp in the freezer or decrease the size of the cubes also make sure the fan vents in the freezer is unblocked. check the temp in the freezer should be around 0 degrees.

F1471 vi Miele freezer showing fault code 01 21 _F

From a previous post for a different Miele freezer: "I emailed Miele and this is what they reply: Thank you for your interest in Miele products. That message is a ice fault. If the ice has stopped production, please turn the toggle switch off under the electronic touch panel. To find this please reference the owners manual on pages 7 and 9. I have included the owners manual in case yours is missing. If your machine still produces ice fine just shake the cubes around making sure none are built up along the back wall of the ice drawer. If this continues please contact our service department. Please reference incident number 2698767 should you need to call in. For more detailed information, please visit our web site at www.miele.com or to speak with one of our representative call 800-999-1360." Haven't tried yet, but will post again if it didn't work, otherwise should be the answer"

Ice maker will not separate ice cubes

Check if your water filter is up to date, if not check if the ice maker has the option to choose the side of the ice cubes, if so, set it up to medium side.

Slow ice cycle

Are you having any temperature related symptoms, i.e., soft ice cream that appears to have melted slightly and refrozen, soft breads in the freezer, warm or hot outer surfaces anywhere? If cooling is not a problem whatsoever, are any of your ice cubes smaller than normal, or do you have hollow ice cubes; you would be able to crush the cubes in your hand? If either of these pertains to you, you have not enough water coming to the ice maker, due to a faulty water valve not opening completely, or your water source pressure is low. disconnect your water line from the fridge, test pressure of the water line by placing end in a bucket, turning water on. It will be obvious how the pressure is. if pressure is good to really good, you have a bad water valve on the fridge. If pressure is so-so to bad, change source water valve.
If cubes are not small nor hollow, but rather normal full size cubes, just not enough, you probably have an intermittent problem with your icemaker, replace that.

The ice maker in my Whirlpool ET1CHMXKB06 refrigerator/freezer is making a ''creaking'' noise.

CHECK TO SEE IF A ICECUBE IS STUCK IN THE FINGERS OF THE ICE MAKER. UNPLUG THE REFRIGERATOR SO YOU DONT GET YOUR FINGERS STUCK WHEN PULLING OUT THE CUBE

Ice maker only fills the tray partially.

There is an adjustment, but first check your filters, including the one in the inlet of the control valve. To find the adjustment, take the cover off the front of the ice maker. On the side may be a little hole. Look for any 'increase' arrow or such. If not, use a small screwdriver to turn the adjustment a half turn and let it make a load of ice. If it gets smaller, go the other way, use small adjustments. If you can get the owner's manual, it will help a lot. Google your unit for one, you may be able to get it downloaded free from Whirlpool.

Thin Ice on Whirpool Ice Maker

Hi

If  The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

The ice maker is producing ice poorly When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

Please do rate the solution as "FixYa" if found useful and revert for further assistance.

Whirlpool ice maker

Hi Chubbo,

When you say you checked the Valve, did you check the Supply valve that feeds water to the fridge, or the Solenouid valve that usually casues this problem.  Unplug your Fridge and roll it away from the wall.  Remove the  rear access panel  and trace the water supply tubing to the solenoid valve. Lots of time the valve is bad.  You  can get a replacement  Solenoid.  at any Appliance part store, or online at www.repairclinic.com

If you did check that. You can get a coupling that will adapt from the water supply directly to the line coming from the solenouid to pressure up and see if you actually have a flow problem between the solenoid valve and ice tray.

Hope this is helpful to you. Good Day
