Sharper Image S1785 Clock Settings

Bill, how do change the clock back from 24 to a 12 hour? You fixed the alarm so well - now I need help on switching back from the 24 hour clock.

Thanks,

Ed

Somehow the setting changed to display 24 hour format instead of regular 12 hour format. How can I get it back to showing "regular" times instead of "military" time? This thing is so not-user-friendly!

When setting-up the time (by pushing the "mode" button), the alarm time set comes up first, followed by the time set.
When setting the proper hour in this mode, simply continue through the military "24 hour" cycle and the second cycle of 24 hours will be in the 12 hour format.
Continue through and finish the mode set-up function and your up and running. --

Can not get the clock or alarm off the 24 hour clock!!! very annoying!!

  1. Try pressing the "MODE" button until the time setting flashes.
  2. Now press the "2" button (right under the screen) and simply advance the clock past 24:00 and the clock will enter 12 hour mode again.

  • Now the time and alarm will be in regular 12 hour time as well automatically.
  • If for some reason it is not then just reset the alarm by
  1. Pressing "MODE" until the alarm time and icon flashes on the screen.
  2. Press "1" to decrease and "2" to increase hours.
  3. Press "3" to decrease and "4" to increase
  4. Press "5" to select the alarm volume.
  5. Press ALM "OFF/ON" to activate/deactivate the alarm.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

My clock jumps an hour ahead, how do I fix it?

Make sure that you have the clock set for the correct time zone, and that the DST feature is switched ON. If those settings are correct, try replacing the batteries. Weak batteries frequently cause an atomic clock to "jump" one hour in either direction.

I hope this helps.

Sharper Image Beetle projection alarm clock/radio-need ac adap.

Hi,

You can just buy a regular AC adapter in any store, just ask for a universal AC adapter to make sure it will fit. (you can try Radio Shack, Walmart etc.)

In a universal AC adapter there are multiple plugs and there's switch to set the volts, just find the right plug that fit you Alarm Clock and make sure you set it to 6V and that's it.

Hope it helps
